Our April meeting was held on the 16th in the Fellowship Hall of historical Slash Christian Church located at 11353 Mount Hermon Road,Ashland, VA. Our Guest speaker was Richmond Light Infantry Blues Camp #1967 Compatriot, Robert L. Kammeter, whose topic was "Richmond's Treasures-Known and Unknown".

What else could be said about the month of April other than WOW-What a BUSY month! Our Camp actively participated in the Confederate Heritage Parade and the Virginia Division Convention. Compatriots Tinker Fornash and Rob Millikin were both recognized by the Virginia Division, SCV and awarded certificates for their hard work and tremendous efforts in assisting with the parade. The parade was a huge success with more than 1,500 registered participants and approximately 2,500 in attendance. Our Camp is still actively working on a Camp flag/logo and we are quickly approaching the final stages of this project. A tremendous thanks to Compatriots Jason Talley and Mike Tyler for their tremendous talents, hard work and dedication to this grand project. We are looking forward to getting our Camp flag/logo out for the public to see. Our Camp would like to extend a most gracious thank you to Delegate Frank Hargrove, Sr. who, by way of Compatriot Buddy Fowler, donated a Virginia State Flag to our Camp. We are most honored and appreciative of Delgate Hargrove for this generous donation.
We also welcomed our newest Compatriots Below are two photos from the Confederate Heritage Parade, which started at the Virginia Historical Society on the Boulevard, continued down Monument Avenue and ended at Hollywood Cemetery.
