"The Hanover Dragoons
Camp #827, SCV"
January meeting

Compatriots & Prospective Members,

We had a great turnout for our eventful January meeting!

Our guest speaker was
Mr. Art Taylor, Past President of the Hanover County Historical Society.
He is very knowledgeable of Hanover County’s rich history and a wide variety of
Civil War/War Between the States history and discussed the
Battle of Beaverdam Station with us. We appreciate him coming out to be with The Hanover Dragoons.

Please welcome three new members to The Hanover Dragoons Camp #827. They are Mr. C. Vernon Clark,
Mr. Michael Matthews and
Mr. Huell Matthews, Jr.
Not all were able to attend, but we warmly welcome each of you!

Our Camp wreath was officially unveiled and was put to good use at all the Richmond-area Lee-Jackson-Maury Day events. Our Camp thanks Sheri Millikin for putting it together, the "unknown lady" in line behind her who gave her a multitude of coupons after learning the wreath would be for a new SCV Camp, and the generous donation of the ribbon.
We appreciate everyone's efforts!!

Unfortunately, we did not have a camera available at the Camp meeting or the Lee-Jackson-Maury Day functions. However, photos are hopefully going to be sent to us soon to be posted on our Camp's website.

Our Camp presented our wreath on Friday, January 17th, Saturday, January 18th, and Sunday, January 19th, at the State Capitol in Richmond, VA

I look forward to seeing each of you at our next meeting at Slash Church!

Confederately,
Robert T. Millikin, III
Commander
The Hanover Dragoons Camp #827
