"The Hanover Dragoons
Camp #827, SCV"
November 2004 Meeting

Compatriots & Prospective Members,

What a great meeting we had on November 17th! Our guest speaker was U.S./World History Teacher and fellow SCV Compatriot, "Coach" Thomas Hobbs, whose topic was "Archeological Excavations on a Colonial Homesite in Broaddus Flats, near Old Church". "Coach" Hobbs has been teaching in Hanover County high schools for twenty-two years and proved to be a most informative source.

Coach Hobbs was kind enough to not only present a fantastic slide show, but brought several of his relics with him as well.

Our next meeting will be Wednesday, December 15th and our guest speaker will be Camp Commander, Rob Millikin, whose topic will be "The Confederate Chapel". Our Annual Camp Banquet is scheduled for Saturday, January 22nd. Please remember to mail in your reservation ASAP!
Please come out and bring a friend, co-worker, family member or prospective member with you. We are continuing to steadily grow with members both young and young at heart.
Come out and enjoy the fellowship of fellow Compatriots and some great food.

I look forward to seeing each of you on December 15th!
