"The Hanover Dragoons Camp #827, SCV" November 2005 Meeting

Compatriots & Prospective Members, We had a great attendance at our November Camp meeting! Great show of faces by our Camp Compatriots & guests! Rather than a guest speaker this month, we watched a very unique video about the "Confederate way of life" being alive & well in Brazil. What a fascinating video that was so informative, surprising and encouraging to us all!
We also inducted our newest Camp member, Compatriot Clayton B. Burch!
Our Camp will be participating in the Mechanicsville Christmas Parade again this year with a float filled with kids of all ages & candy to pass out to the community. Please help us out with this on Sunday, December 4th if you can or come out & support us as we parade through the "Old Town of Mechanicsville". Our Annual Camp Banquet will be held on Thursday, December 8th at historic Hanover Tavern. We will not have another Camp meeting during the month of December and our regularly scheduled meetings will resume at Slash Church in January, 2006. Social time for the banquet begins at 6:00 pm and our guest speaker will be Mr. Joseph Kyle who will discuss the history of Hanover Tavern and we will get a tour throughout the available areas. We will also be inducting our new Officers at this meeting. Reservations are due by December 5th! Please contact Cmdr. Millikin &/or Adj.-Trsr. Mike Tyler if you need more info or would like to get your reservation in immediately.
We are continuing to steadily grow with members both young and young at heart.
Confederately,
