Compatriots & Prospective Members, We had a great attendance at our September Camp meeting! Great show of faces by our Camp Compatriots & guests returning from our summer break! Our guest speaker was Mr. Jack Trammell, Professor at Randolph Macon College who gave his presentation of "Randolph Macon During the Civil War". This was such an interesting discussion about our special history, but also our local history too! We all thoroughly enjoyed this talk!
We also inducted our newest member, Compatriot William E. Kirkland!
We also welcomed Compatriots Everette Ellis and Glenn Ballos to the Hanover Dragoons Camp! We are honored to have each of you as Compatriots & we warmly welcome you!
The Hanover Dragoons Camp had a booth again this year at Hanover Heritage Days on Saturday, May 28th. Our sincere thanks to all who came out & participated!
Our next Camp will be Wednesday, October 19th at Slash Church. Our guest speaker will be Compatriot Walter Tucker of the Longstreet Camp who will discuss "The Statues on Monument Avenue". Social time begins at 6pm, followed by dinner ($11 per person) then guest speaker & Camp business. Be sure to bring a friend, relative or any interested person with you!
We are continuing to steadily grow with members both young and young at heart.
Confederately,
