|
The Hanover Dragoons Camp #827 is proud to have taken on the clean-up project for the J.E.B. Stuart monument, located in Glen Allen, VA. We were asked by the Richmond-Stonewall Jackson Chapter 1705, United Daughters of the Confederacy about this project and we are honored to not only assist our sister organization, but to also put forth our efforts to remember one of our Confederate heroes in such a special way. The Richmond-Stonewall Jackson Chapter 1705, United Daughters of the Confederacy, holds their annual service at Yellow Tavern on May 11th at 11:00 a.m. Please try to come out and attend this very special program.
Below you will see two photos taken of the J.E.B Stuart monument and of our first day/clean-up crew. Our sincere thanks to Compatriot Mike Tyler for bringing his camera and special thanks to

The Hanover Dragoons Camp has been continuing to maintain the grounds surrounding the Yellow Tavern monument. We have set up a "clean up" schedule for our Camp committee members who are involved with the maintenance. The grounds are looking great and are being cared for on a regular basis. During the month of June the Third National Confederate Flag was permenantly posted atop the flagpole.
